I cannot believe we are already in July! It seems like yesterday it was Christmas, time moves so fast. Anyway I turned 23 last week and so far I am really enjoying it. Fingers crossed this birthday year goes well!

As I have previously mentioned I am currently working at a publication house, but I am also working on a article – about the relationship with fashion and art – for one of the houses publications. I am really enjoying it, so have been more focused towards the literary side of fashion. This had lead to me interviewing fashion stylist Lesley Brice for Skint magazine as well as penning several articles on the subject. I have uploaded my work to a new fashion orientated blog: notesofworth.wordpress.com. This blog will be dedicated to my thoughts, interviews and articles on fashion and style (which by the way are too completely different things). I am also available for hire so if you like my work let me know!

So far I have written about things I love in fashion, Louis Vuitton and accessories! I am also going to keep a updated gossip style blog of what is going on in London Fashion, as well as trends reports of both catwalk and micro trends. If you don’t know what micro trends are, they are small trends that emerge socially and culturally in fashion. For example when the Alexander McQueen scarf was popular. Seen on the likes of Sienna Miller and Kate Moss it was only after other celebs began to wear the coveted neck adornment that stores such as Topshop and Urban Outfitters began to stock copies. Micro trends are everywhere, currently there is a trend in London of gold adorned flat pumps. Anyway if you like reading about this sort of things check out my blog!

I am very busy at the moment, as I am interning at Beyond Black. My time is focused on researching and contacting people, writing articles etc.

However once the weather is stable I am hoping to do an equestrian shoot for the magazine and hopefully a few fashion shoots. I will of course keep my blog posted, its unfortunate I have been all over the place and the shoots just haven’t happen but its certainly on the cards.

I shall keep you posted! x

I finally have my new site up and running which is ace. I’m really pleased with it and everything is in working order! I have loads more work to post up there, just bits and pieces but they can wait for now.

The weather has been awful and my model hasn’t been free so I haven’t shot my shoots yet but you will know when I do because I will post a shoot diary.

I’m very busy at the moment with my internship so I’m trying to fit everything in, I will be working on Fruit Magazine next week so watch this space!

It’s be quite a while since I have posted a personal blog, as I have been very busy working on Fruit Magazine, as well as doing shoots and commissions. I have lots of new photography images to update to the site as I am currently working on them, from fashion to nature I hope to have them up on the site soon. I have a shoot next week so I will probably post all of them in two weeks time.

I have also just started a very exciting internship at a magazine/publication which I am really really please about, so I’m also constantly working on that as well as it requires a lot of attention and research which I love. Its early days and I don’t want to go into detail but I’m going to work hard and put my all into it, I shall keep you posted!

Have a look at Fruit Magazine, we are doing really well and although its taking time to get everything together it looks really promising and I hope to pitch it in the summer. The interest and submissions I have received have been excellent, there is a wealth of talent out there, so inspiring.

I will write up a shoot diary next week. x

I have just finished building and creating the new platform for ‘Fruit Magazine’ which is the creation of my sister and I. The address is www.fruit-magazine.com. We aim that within the next two months or so we will have regular content for the ezine, as our concept behind the site is that we will find and showcase new and emerging talent within fashion, art, photography, illustration and journalism as we both have alot of creative friends with alot to say! I’m hoping that the drive behind the magazine will be strong and hopefully we will be able to develop the site into a published mag, fingers crossed! One has to be hopeful as current times are very hard, but hope and creativity will get us through! :) xx

At the moment I can’t update my site which is a shame because I have new and exciting content!

My work was finally published in Illustration Magazine, thank-you Ruth Prickett! Illustration Magazine can be bought nationwide and is full of all different types of illustration from historical to modern. The website for the magazine is: www.illustration-mag.com. Its worth a buy as it also showcases new illustration talent like me!

I have just completed a new image which emulates for me the beginning of a new illustration project ‘Babes in the Wood’. Recent events in the news and the channel 4 series ‘Red Riding’ have inspired me to create these dark themed images. My first image may not seem literally dark but for me it translates my inspiration.

I am beginning a new photography project based around the anatomy and beauty of orchids. So far I have only taken test shots which I have altered post production to be black and white, I want to develop my images as far as I can and perhaps use film for the final images.

Orchids have such a delicate and ornate nature, yet also have anatomy undertones. Veiny and translucent I think that I can really achieve some beautiful final shots. Here are my test images.
